Welcome to Authentic Botswana Tours
"Hello" or "Dumelang" in my mother tongue, (Setswana) from myself as the founder of Authentic Botswana Tours together with my Team, are pleased to welcome you to one of our Photo & Study Tours as well as Mobile Tent Safaris.
Get to know Botswana with me, the country in Southern Africa, in which I grew up: with its unique people, extraordinary natural landscapes as well as incomparable wildlife population that will also inspire you.
Our Vision
Fulfilled by the vision of special cultural and time travel, we would like to bring you closer to the different population groups of Botswana in personal encounters and provide fascinating insights into the country's unique fauna and flora.
Our Philosophy
Following the principles of “community based tourism”, we want our Botswana Photo & Study Tours to:
- Stabilize or revive traditional economic methods such as animal welfare, ecological agriculture or craftsmanship
- Give due attention to modern art in Botswana, be it pictures, paintings, sculptures or photographic artefacts
- Meet the expectations of our local hosts in the joint development of active tourist offers
Why Book with Us?
By booking one of our tours, you support a female Botswana start-up company in the competition of an overpowering international tourism industry.

Our Profile
In terms of social responsibility, sustainable tourism, we claim to involve the local population in our value creation through our photo and study trips, in order to also make a contribution to development cooperation.
Our Photo & Study Tours are:
AUTHENTIC
Thanks to our expertise, we are able to provide our photo and study travelers with realistic experiences in the different, everyday worlds of the local population groups.
PERSONAL
You spend the night, depending on the category of the trip, either in luxurious hotels (lodges) or in small guesthouses with a typical atmosphere and are individually looked after throughout the entire photo or study trip.
SUSTAINABLE
Thanks to our small study groups with a maximum of 10 participants and a Botswana tour guide, we are able to avoid the social, cultural and environmental pollution of mass tourism in developing countries.
