You will enjoy a genuine experience of the open spaces and quiet peace of the Kalahari in the company of the wonderfully open and friendly San people. You are invited to bush walks, traditional dancing, fire making, craft making, trapping and storytelling. (B, L, D)

Day 4 | Herero Village - People Photography

Early in the morning we leave Maun for Sehithwa, a Herero village to visit a community of descendants of exile survivors of the battle of the Waterberg, 1904. The Herero are traditionally cattle-herding pastoralists. During our visit, they give us a sustainable impression about their daily way of living in Botswana since they arrived as refugees: fleeing from the German soldiers in “Deutsch Südwest Africa”, their original homeland, and today’s Namibia. (B, L, D)
