Short Description
The journey takes you through Maun, the bustling town on the edge of the Okavango Delta, to Kasane on the Chobe River. Stations include Moremi Game Reserve, Khwai and Savuti, Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls.
You get impressions about both the people’s daily way of living and nature up close. In Maun and Kasane you watch street life, small business, handicraft, and trading.
The mobile tent safari brings you in the middle of endless expanses, wilderness, animal, and plant abundance. The Delta is a unique ecosystem. The journey creates countless opportunities for spectacular pictures in a wide variety of genres. Changing lightning conditions, gathering moods as well as capturing fast movements are just some of the challenges.
Itinerary
Day 1 - Maun
You arrive in Maun, the gate to the Okavango Delta and administrative center of the province of Ngaminland, located on the picturesque Thamalakane River. Since the town’s establishment in 1915 as the tribal capital of the Batawana people, it has become more and more the headquarter of countless safari and air-charter operations. Depending on your arrival, we give you the option to do an optional aerial photography by helicopter with doors open over the Okavango Delta. Welcome Dinner (D)

Day 2 - 3 | Moremi – Xini - Xakanax
After breakfast you will depart for the Moremi Game Reserve, where you will game drive on route to camp. Moremi game reserve is an officially protected are of the Okavango Delta and holds tremendous scientific, environmental, and conservation importance. Situated in the central and eastern area of the Okavango, the reserve includes the Moremi tongue and chiefs island, with one of the richest and diverse eco system on the continent. Mopane forests, dry savannas, watercourses, lagoons and islands dominate the landscape. We explore the untamed wilderness, fauna, and flora of Botswana. You see elephant and zebra herds, colorful birds, giraffes and with a chance the Big Five.
Early morning and sunset game drives give you the opportunity for excellent photo shootings. (B, L, D)

Day 4 – 6 | Moremi – Khwai – Xakanaxa
The Khwai Community Area is runed by a local trust and managed by the community. They follow a concept of sustainable use of natural resources and benefit from the tourism activities. A tour to Khwai Village can be organized. You meet members of the community, get information about the concept, and understand their traditional way of life. The entire area is known for large herds of elephant and buffalo, predators include lion, wild dog, and hyena. The Khwai River is impressing. We will do a boat cruise and explore this area by game drives, bush walks and mororo safaris. (B, L, D)

Kwai to Savuti (125 km)
Day 7 – 9 | Savuti - Chobe National Park
Savuti is known for the famous lions and documentaries by National Geographic and Brad Bestlink [Savage kingdom]. We find hills in Savuti, one of which our aborigines, the San, created impressing rock paintings that can be viewed by summiting. Undoubtedly one of Africa’s most beautiful parks and rivers, Chobe supports a diversity and concentration of wildlife to anywhere in the country. Established in 1968, the park covers 11700 square kilometers encompassing swamps, flood plains and woodland. The Chobe River front is most famous for the large concentration of Elephant and buffalo in the dry months on the Chobe River front. It is an incredible spectacle that nature offers you and a paradise for wildlife photographers. Activities are game drives and boat cruises. (B, L, D)

Drive from Khwai Community Area to Savuti Chobe National Park (180 km)
Day 10 I - Kasane
We do early morning game drive and head of to Kasane: a lively small border town in the quadrangle of Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. Kasane is the starting point for many tours, including to the nearby Victoria Falls. Here an extra optional sunset boat cruise activity on the Chobe River can be arranged. There are plenty of aquatic animals like the Nile crocodile, Hippo and birds. The boat cruise will enable you to experience the park and animals from another vantage point.
