Women Special I Study Excursion
Gaborone - Surroundings
SHORT DESCRIPTION
In most countries, but especially in Africa, women are seen to be oppressed and often stay home to take care of children whilst men go to work. Botswana seems to be one of the few unique countries with emancipated women. Let’s dig out and find out what makes this small, landlocked country with hardly 2.5 million inhabitants so different. You will visit workshops, projects, cooperatives, and schools. We dedicate ourselves intensively in-depth, particularly in detail, to topics such as income and survival strategies, equality, women's networks, role models in town and around the country.
NOTE: This 8 Day TOUR can be extended with a visit to the Kasane (Chobe National Park). For further information, please see TOUR 6.
